Walk with a Historian

This is your one visit to Belgrade so I want you to get things right. No sugar-coated platitudes but real history and real Belgrade – good and bad. On this tour we will focus on history and the way it shaped Belgrade, its streets, buildings and people. We will meet in the very center of the city, on Trg Republike (Republic Square), and then progress through the core of the city seeing remains of previous centuries and epochs, from the Roman to the Ottoman. Next we will visit Kalemegdan Park and the very heart of Belgrade, its Fortress. The last leg of our tour takes us through the quiet historic neighborhood of Dorcol. Other things to note Though we will do our best to adjust to your pace, bare in mind that there might be other guests on tour. The pace is easy, but it is more than two hours of walking and standing (only occasionally sitting). There are a few ups and downs and two shorter stairways.
